Quad-Blogging

I have signed Year 3 up to do some Quad-blogging, what this entails is Year 3 and 3 other schools take it in turns to look at each others class blogs and leave comments.

Mark Lee (A professional chef)

As our topic this term is Celebrity Chefs, this week we had a visit from a professional chef, called Mark Lee. Mark is currently working for Leeds City Council helping to improve school dinners but has previously worked at The Queens Hotel in Leeds city centre and even got offered a job to work in Buckingham Palace, which he turned down!
It was an absolute pleasure having Mark in class and he taught us a lot about the life of being a chef.

Talk Homework (14/2/14)

Dear Parents,

This week your child’s Talk homework is to retell the class version of Jack and the Beanstalk (Jill and the Beanstalk), please encourage your child to use varied sentence openers, different connectives to and, and try to include lots of description to

engage the listener/reader.

Please chat to your child on this topic and others surrounding  it. This will help support their writing on Friday. If possible, could the T.V be turned off while the discussion is taking place!

Class treat

Year 3 have filled in our class square reward chart, therefore have earned a treat. So tomorrow (Thursday 13 February) we will be having a toy/DVD morning. The children can bring in a toy and some sweety treats.

I'm looking forward to it!

Nathan is a quiet member of year 3 who is a firm believer of people doing the right thing, he always tries his best to do the right thing and sets a good example to others.
