Playtime Games and Skipping

Today we had a session with a man called Anthony, who travels around schools and teaches French skipping and normal skipping. 
He showed use how to French skip, we learnt how to use the elastic, how to be an ender and a player and how to use it safely and correctly.
We learnt a game called squirrels and trees and a French skipping game with the song that goes with it.

    Wow it looks like you all had lots of fun, I used to love French Skipping when I was at school, I could even remember some of the rhymes Leah told me!!!!

    That was so fun in fitness mr wareing played squirrels with us I enjoyed French skipping

      I bet it was fun. Especially the French skipping. That looked really fun. What is the squirrel game? Is it when you act like a squirrel a lot?

      The squirrel game is where the children run around and the teacher shouts a number of squirrels to get in a tree and then 2 children make a circle with their hands (which is the tree) and then however many squirrels (children) the teacher has said go into a tree. So for example if the teacher said 1 squirrel in a tree, 2 children would make the tree and 1 person would go inside the tree (circle). If any children are left they are out.
